Teapot in the Tuba is a theatrical circus orchestra duo with Mike WT Allen on clarinet and Katheryn Petersen on accordion. The duo pairs visuals and clowning with musical repertoire that mingles traditional, classical, jazz, original and pop repertoire in combinations that that fit together unexpectedly (like a teapot wedged in the bell of the tuba). Worlds of ceremony, fable, spectacle, passion and intrigue emerge through colourful and fluid performance creations. For special events their line up sometimes expands to include collaborative interdisciplinary input from other musicians, dancers, puppeteers, and videographers.
